SEO for accounting and CPA firms
Your firm ranks for the work you actually want
Most firms have a website that describes their services and a search presence that brings in almost nothing. The gap is structural, not cosmetic. We map search demand against national business registry data, build the page architecture that matches it, and track which enquiries turn into clients. Built for accounting and CPA firms only.
- Pages built around search terms your target clients actually type
- Enquiry volume you can read on a dashboard, not guess at
- Positioning that stops you competing with every generalist nearby
- Conversion tracking that shows which pages produce fee income
No long-term contract. If the search work is not producing enquiries you can see, you stop, and the site architecture stays yours.

Sound familiar?
Ranking for your own firm name and little else.
Your site was built to look presentable, so the pages describe services rather than answer searches. Someone looking for a VAT specialist or a contractor accountant never sees you, because there is no page for them to land on. Meanwhile the firms above you are not better accountants, they are better structured.
- Traffic arrives from people already searching your firm by name
- One services page trying to rank for a dozen different search terms
- No idea which enquiries came from search and which came from referrals
What a working search system looks like
Search demand is measurable before anything is built. We identify where the volume sits in your area and sector, then build the page structure that answers it and the tracking that proves what it produced.
- Non-brand search brings in people who have never heard of you
- A dedicated page for each service and niche you want to win
- Every enquiry attributed to its source in the CRM
- Fixed monthly, no long-term contract, architecture stays with you
What the search work produced
Two accounting firms, both rebuilt around search and conversion rather than presentation. Their words, taken verbatim from Trustpilot.
We couldn't be happier with the work Fiscal Flow has done for us. The website looks incredible, feels modern and professional, and has exceeded our expectations. Since going live, we've already noticed an increase in traffic, and the early signs are very encouraging. The team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with throughout the process. We have high hopes for what this will achieve, and based on the results so far, we're confident we're moving in the right direction. Excellent service and highly recommended.
I cannot recommend Will at Fiscal Flow highly enough. From start to finish, the experience has been seamless. Will is an absolute standout when it comes to communication. He is responsive, proactive, and genuinely invested in the success of the project. I never felt left in the dark; he kept me updated at every stage and was always available to answer questions with clarity and patience. The app and website interface are incredibly intuitive and easy to use. Transitioning to a new system can be daunting, but the instructional videos provided are top-tier—short, clear, and they make the learning curve practically non-existent. The website Will created for me is, quite frankly, absolutely phenomenal. It looks professional, runs fast, and perfectly captures my brand. Furthermore, the Lead Connector is a game-changer. It is remarkably simple to use and is already generating high-quality traffic and leads for my business. If you're looking for someone who delivers high-end results with a stress-free process, look no further than Will. Five stars all the way!
Three parts to the search build
Positioning decides what you rank for, architecture decides whether you can rank at all, and tracking decides whether you keep spending on it.
Niche Positioning From Search Data
You stop competing with every general practice within twenty miles. We combine national business registry data with Google search volume to find sectors with demand and thin competition, then position the firm around them. Prads at Wings Online Filings went from five to seven enquiries a month to fifteen to sixteen, with nine new clients in the first two and a half months.
PositioningSEO Architecture And Landing Pages
Each service and each niche gets its own page, written to answer the search that brings someone there. Internal linking, technical structure and page speed are handled as part of the build rather than bolted on later. Niall at OD Accountants saw monthly visitors rise four times over after the site was rebuilt around conversion rather than content.
BuildEnquiry Tracking And Follow Up
Search only counts once you know which pages produced fee income. Enquiries route into a CRM with source attribution, automated follow up and, where useful, an AI qualification layer that screens them before they reach your diary. Annabel uses that layer so her calendar only carries high value opportunities.

Reach The Firm Could Not Manage Alone
“Generated a large number of leads for our business which we could never have reached or managed on our own.”
Monthly Recurring Client Producing Strong ROI
“Will has been great since day 1 - clearly explaining his services, how the software works etc. and has responded quickly to any queries I have had. Since starting with Fiscal Flow last year, we have now seen a few clients added to our portfolio, with one of them being £250 + VAT per month, producing a great ROI. We haven't used any real advertising methods/software before (other than google ads) so i was sceptical - but really happy with how things have been going. I have now signed up for the CRM software/SEO side of things with Will and look forward to how this goes!”
Long Term Results From Persistent Marketing
“Great persistent marketing with good long term results.”
Built for practices, not every business
General agencies apply the same keyword playbook to plumbers and accountants. The buying cycle for accountancy fees works differently and the page structure has to reflect that.
Demand Checked Before Anything Is Built
You see the search volume and the competitor picture before a single page is written. We use business registry data and Google search data together, so a niche gets chosen because the demand exists, not because it sounds appealing. If the volume is not there, we say so.
Only Accounting And CPA Firms
You will not be explaining engagement letters, AML checks or why a January enquiry behaves differently from a June one. We have implemented these systems across dozens of practices in the UK and US. The page templates and enquiry flows already account for how firms actually take on clients.
Search Connected To Onboarding
Ranking creates enquiries, and enquiries create admin. The same build connects search traffic to CRM automation and digital onboarding, so growth does not land as extra work on your practice manager. That connection is the reason firms stay past the first engagement.
Four steps to a search system
Most of the work sits with us. Your input is concentrated into two short conversations and one review of the plan.
Complete the qualification quiz
Five questions about your firm, your current enquiry sources and where you want to grow. It takes a couple of minutes and it tells us whether search is the right lever for you now.
See the demand analysis
We map search volume and registry data for your area and target sectors, then show you what is realistically available. If the numbers do not support a search build, you will hear that rather than a proposal.
We build the architecture
Positioning, page structure, technical setup, tracking and CRM routing are implemented by us. You approve the positioning and sign off on copy, which is roughly an hour of your time.
Enquiries arrive with a source attached
New enquiries come in from people who found you through search and land in a system that follows them up. You can see which pages produced them and what they became.
“We've been genuinely impressed with Fiscal Flow. As an accountancy practice, we wanted a partner who understood our sector, and they've delivered on that from day one. What stands out most is how responsive and proactive the team is. Queries are dealt with quickly, and they regularly come to us with suggestions and improvements before we've even thought to ask. That kind of forward-thinking support is rare and makes a real difference to a busy practice. The service itself has been excellent throughout, and we're very happy with the results. Highly recommended to any accounting firm looking for a marketing partner who actually delivers.”
Not worth it if
Search compounds slowly and only pays back under certain conditions, so here is where it does not.
- You need new clients this month and have no other acquisition channel running
- You have no capacity to take on work and no plan to add any
- You want rankings reported as a deliverable rather than enquiries and fee income
- You are a sole practitioner with a full client list and no growth intention
If the timing is wrong, paid acquisition usually fills the gap faster while search builds underneath it. Come back when you have capacity to absorb the volume, or ask about the paid side instead.
What firms usually ask first
How long before SEO produces enquiries for an accounting firm?
It depends on your starting domain, your local competition and how thin the current site is. Firms with an existing site and some authority tend to see movement within the first quarter. Prads at Wings Online Filings went from five to seven enquiries a month to fifteen to sixteen in the first two and a half months, which is faster than typical and reflected an unusually weak starting structure.
What happens after I complete the qualification quiz?
You speak to Will Pettifor, who does the strategy work rather than a salesperson reading a script. The call covers your current enquiry sources, the search demand we can see in your area, and whether the numbers justify a build. If they do not, you will be told that and you keep the analysis.
Does this work for a small practice, or only larger firms?
The system is designed for accounting and CPA firms with roughly 2 to 20 staff. Smaller practices often see faster relative gains because the starting position is lower and one new recurring client changes the picture. Firms switching from a general marketing agency usually keep their domain and we rebuild the architecture underneath it.
Am I tied into a contract?
No long-term contract. Pricing is fixed monthly so you know the cost before you commit, and the site architecture and content remain yours if you leave. Search work needs a few months to show its shape, so we will tell you upfront what a fair assessment window looks like.
Do I need local SEO as well as service pages?
Most firms need both. Local search captures people looking for an accountant nearby, service and niche pages capture people looking for a specific problem solved. The two structures link together, and which one gets weight first depends on where the demand analysis says the volume sits.
How do you decide which niche to position the firm around?
We cross reference national business registry data, which shows how many businesses of each type exist and where, with Google search data showing what those businesses look for. A niche gets recommended when there is demand, weak competitor coverage and a fee profile that suits your practice. You make the final call.
The searches happening in your area are going somewhere
Five questions tell us whether search demand exists for your firm and your target sectors. If it does not, you will hear that before anyone talks about building anything.
