SEO agency for accountants

SEO for accounting and CPA firms

Ranking is the easy part. Ranking for work worth having

Most accountancy sites rank for the firm name and little else, so growth stays tied to referrals. We use Companies House registry data and Google search volume to identify which niches in your area have demand and thin competition, then build the page architecture and content around that. Built only for accounting and CPA firms, 40+ of them since 2024.

  • Enquiries from businesses already searching for your service
  • Pages built around niches with proven search demand
  • A site structure that keeps compounding after month twelve
  • Fewer price shoppers, because the pages pre-qualify

Fixed monthly, no long-term contract. If the numbers do not justify continuing after the build phase, you keep the site architecture and the content that came with it.

Sound familiar?

Your site ranks for your own name. That is all.

You have a website, some service pages and a blog nobody reads. It brings in the occasional enquiry from someone who already knew you existed. Meanwhile the firms taking the local limited company work have twenty pages targeting specific searches, and yours has one page called Services. Growth still depends on who your existing clients happen to mention you to.

  • Enquiries arrive only when a client remembers to refer someone
  • Generic service pages competing against every firm in the country
  • Blog posts written for search engines that convert nobody

What a working search system looks like

Demand is identified before anything is written. Pages are built around the niches where search volume and business registry density actually overlap in your region, then structured so an enquiry is the obvious next step.

  • A steady flow of enquiries independent of who refers you
  • Pages targeting named niches where competition is thin
  • Content written to answer buying questions, then ask for the call
  • Fixed monthly cost, no long-term contract, reporting you can audit

What happened after the rebuild

Two firms, two different starting points. Both moved from referral dependence to enquiries arriving through search within the first few months.

We couldn't be happier with the work Fiscal Flow has done for us. The website looks incredible, feels modern and professional, and has exceeded our expectations. Since going live, we've already noticed an increase in traffic, and the early signs are very encouraging. The team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with throughout the process. We have high hopes for what this will achieve, and based on the results so far, we're confident we're moving in the right direction. Excellent service and highly recommended.

We've been genuinely impressed with Fiscal Flow. As an accountancy practice, we wanted a partner who understood our sector, and they've delivered on that from day one. What stands out most is how responsive and proactive the team is. Queries are dealt with quickly, and they regularly come to us with suggestions and improvements before we've even thought to ask. That kind of forward-thinking support is rare and makes a real difference to a busy practice. The service itself has been excellent throughout, and we're very happy with the results. Highly recommended to any accounting firm looking for a marketing partner who actually delivers.

What you get

Three parts, built in order

Positioning first, because ranking for the wrong searches produces enquiries you do not want. Then architecture, then content that keeps the pages earning.

01

Niche positioning based on data

You find out which client types in your region have genuine search demand and how many of those businesses actually exist, before a page is written. We combine national business registry data with Google search volume rather than guessing at a niche. The output is a shortlist you can sanity check against your own capacity and fee levels.

Positioning
02

Site architecture that converts

Your site stops being a brochure and starts working as an enquiry route. Service pages, niche pages and location structure are built so each search intent lands somewhere relevant with a clear next step. Niall's site was rebuilt around conversion rather than content, and monthly visitors went up four times over with ten to fifteen enquiries in the first month.

Architecture
03

Content that keeps earning

Pages answer the questions a business owner types before they choose an accountant, then ask for the call. Prads at Wings Online Filings went from five to seven enquiries a month to fifteen to sixteen in the first two and a half months, and nine new clients, through the SEO architecture and content system. The pages carry on producing after the build phase ends.

Six Trustpilot reviews, different firms

Sole practitioners, growing practices and multi-partner firms. The common thread is enquiries arriving from somewhere other than word of mouth.

New Portfolio Clients And A Clear ROI

“Will has been great since day 1 - clearly explaining his services, how the software works etc. and has responded quickly to any queries I have had. Since starting with Fiscal Flow last year, we have now seen a few clients added to our portfolio, with one of them being £250 + VAT per month, producing a great ROI. We haven't used any real advertising methods/software before (other than google ads) so i was sceptical - but really happy with how things have been going. I have now signed up for the CRM software/SEO side of things with Will and look forward to how this goes!”

A Fast Site That Generates Qualified Traffic

“I cannot recommend Will at Fiscal Flow highly enough. From start to finish, the experience has been seamless. Will is an absolute standout when it comes to communication. He is responsive, proactive, and genuinely invested in the success of the project. I never felt left in the dark; he kept me updated at every stage and was always available to answer questions with clarity and patience. The app and website interface are incredibly intuitive and easy to use. Transitioning to a new system can be daunting, but the instructional videos provided are top-tier—short, clear, and they make the learning curve practically non-existent. The website Will created for me is, quite frankly, absolutely phenomenal. It looks professional, runs fast, and perfectly captures my brand. Furthermore, the Lead Connector is a game-changer. It is remarkably simple to use and is already generating high-quality traffic and leads for my business. If you're looking for someone who delivers high-end results with a stress-free process, look no further than Will. Five stars all the way!”

Why this rather than a general agency

Built for one industry only

General SEO agencies learn your sector on your budget. We have implemented the same framework across accounting and CPA firms since 2024 and know where it breaks.

📊

Niche chosen from registry data

You are not asked which niche feels right. We pull national business registry data to see how many of a given business type exist near you, then check what those owners are actually searching for. Contractor accounting might have volume in one county and almost none in the next, and the data says which before you commit a year to it.

🔗

Search feeds a system, not an inbox

Ranking is worth little if enquiries sit unanswered for two days. Traffic from search lands in a CRM with automated follow-up and, where you want it, an AI qualification layer. Annabel has enquiries screened automatically so her calendar only carries the higher value opportunities.

🧾

You will not explain your work

We already know the difference between compliance work and advisory retainers, why a limited company client is worth more over five years than a sole trader, and which services you would rather not sell. That shapes which searches we target and which we deliberately ignore.

Getting started

Four steps, most of the work ours

You spend roughly two hours across the first month. The rest sits with us, with weekly updates you can read in under five minutes.

1

Answer six qualification questions

The quiz on this page tells you whether search is the right channel for your firm at its current size. Some firms are better served by paid acquisition first. You get that answer before anyone books time with you.

2

Niche and demand review

We run registry and search data for your region and bring back a shortlist of niches with the volumes attached. You veto anything you do not want to service. Nothing is built until you agree the target.

3

Build and launch

Site architecture, niche pages and the tracking are built by us. You review copy for technical accuracy and sign off. Most firms spend an hour here in total.

4

Enquiries arrive without prompting

Search traffic starts landing in your CRM and follow-up runs automatically. Growth stops depending on which client happened to mention you at a networking event. You go back to doing the work rather than chasing it.

An honest filter

Not worth it if

Search takes months to compound, so it suits some firms and wastes money for others.

  • You need new clients inside four weeks, in which case paid acquisition comes first
  • You have no capacity to onboard additional clients for the next two quarters
  • You want to keep serving every business type and will not commit to a niche
  • You expect to review results monthly and cancel if month two looks flat

If any of those apply, the paid acquisition or cold outreach routes will suit you better in the short term. Come back to search once you have capacity and a niche you are willing to defend.

Questions

What firms usually ask first

How long before SEO produces enquiries for an accountancy practice?+

Movement on niche pages with low competition often shows within the first two to three months, and broader service terms take longer. Prads at Wings Online Filings went from five to seven enquiries a month to fifteen to sixteen in the first two and a half months, though he had an existing site to build on. A firm starting from a one page brochure site should plan on a longer run before the numbers settle.

What happens on the growth call, and is it a sales pitch?+

You speak with Will Pettifor, who does the strategy work rather than a salesperson reading from a script. The call covers your current enquiry volume, which niches the registry data suggests for your region and whether search is the right channel at all. If it is not, you will be told that on the call.

Does this work for a two person practice, or only larger firms?+

The framework is built for accounting and CPA firms with 2 to 20 staff. Smaller practices tend to see faster results because a single niche can fill their capacity. If you already have a site from a previous agency, we work with what is there rather than insisting on a rebuild for its own sake.

Am I locked into a contract?+

Pricing is fixed monthly with no long-term contract. If you stop, the site architecture, the pages and the content stay with you. We would rather you leave with something usable than feel tied in by a clause.

Who writes the content, and will it be technically accurate?+

We draft it and you review before publication. Nothing goes live claiming a threshold or a deadline that you have not checked. The technical accuracy is your call, the structure and search targeting are ours.

How does this fit with paid ads if we already run them?+

They complement each other. Paid brings enquiries while the search pages mature, and the search data tells you which paid campaigns are worth funding. Kieran at Swift started with paid lead generation and has since expanded into CRM and SEO.
