Google Ads for Accountants

Google Ads for accounting firms

Paid search that books calls, not clicks

Most firms running Google Ads are bidding on broad terms, sending traffic to a homepage and hoping the phone rings. The spend is measurable, the outcome is not. We build the campaign, the landing page and the follow-up as one system, run only for accounting and CPA firms, with every enquiry tracked to source.

  • Clicks land on a page built for one service, not your homepage
  • Enquiries logged, tagged and followed up automatically in the CRM
  • Spend reported against booked calls and signed clients, not impressions
  • Search terms filtered so you stop paying for job seekers and students

No long-term contract. If the numbers do not justify continuing after the first quarter, you keep the landing pages, the tracking and the account.

Sound familiar?

Spending on Google Ads without knowing what it returned?

The account was set up once, probably by whoever built the website, and it has been running on broad match ever since. Clicks arrive. Some become enquiries. Nobody can tell you which keyword produced the one client who signed. Meanwhile a portion of the budget goes to people searching for accountancy jobs, free templates and HMRC helplines.

  • Ad traffic landing on a homepage that talks about everything at once
  • No record of which search term produced the enquiry that became a client
  • Budget absorbed by job searches, students and people wanting free advice

What a working account looks like

One campaign per service, one page per campaign, and every enquiry attached to the keyword that produced it. Follow-up runs automatically so nothing sits unanswered while you are in a client meeting.

  • Dedicated landing pages per service, written for the search behind the click
  • Every enquiry tagged to its keyword and tracked through to signed client
  • Negative keyword lists that strip out job, template and free-advice traffic
  • Fixed monthly management, no long-term contract, account owned by you

What the spend actually produced

Two firms who had either tried paid search on their own or had no advertising at all before working with us.

Will has been great since day 1 - clearly explaining his services, how the software works etc. and has responded quickly to any queries I have had. Since starting with Fiscal Flow last year, we have now seen a few clients added to our portfolio, with one of them being £250 + VAT per month, producing a great ROI. We haven't used any real advertising methods/software before (other than google ads) so i was sceptical - but really happy with how things have been going. I have now signed up for the CRM software/SEO side of things with Will and look forward to how this goes!

What you get

What the management fee covers

Campaign build, landing page system and the CRM layer that catches enquiries. All three run together, because any one of them alone leaks.

01

Search campaigns matched to intent

Your budget goes to people searching for the services you want more of, in the areas you can serve. Keyword sets are built around buying intent rather than volume, with negative lists applied from day one so job and template searches are excluded before they cost you anything.

Google Ads
02

Landing pages built to convert

Each campaign points at a page written for that single service, with the enquiry form above the fold and proof directly beneath it. The pages are yours to keep, and the same structure feeds your organic search work later.

Conversion
03

Follow-up that runs without you

Enquiries drop into the CRM, get an immediate acknowledgement and chase sequence, and stay tagged to the keyword that produced them. You see cost per enquiry and cost per booked call rather than a click report.

Site Live, Traffic Up Already

“We couldn't be happier with the work Fiscal Flow has done for us. The website looks incredible, feels modern and professional, and has exceeded our expectations. Since going live, we've already noticed an increase in traffic, and the early signs are very encouraging. The team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with throughout the process. We have high hopes for what this will achieve, and based on the results so far, we're confident we're moving in the right direction. Excellent service and highly recommended.”

Already Generating High Quality Traffic And Leads

“I cannot recommend Will at Fiscal Flow highly enough. From start to finish, the experience has been seamless. Will is an absolute standout when it comes to communication. He is responsive, proactive, and genuinely invested in the success of the project. I never felt left in the dark; he kept me updated at every stage and was always available to answer questions with clarity and patience. The app and website interface are incredibly intuitive and easy to use. Transitioning to a new system can be daunting, but the instructional videos provided are top-tier—short, clear, and they make the learning curve practically non-existent. The website Will created for me is, quite frankly, absolutely phenomenal. It looks professional, runs fast, and perfectly captures my brand. Furthermore, the Lead Connector is a game-changer. It is remarkably simple to use and is already generating high-quality traffic and leads for my business. If you're looking for someone who delivers high-end results with a stress-free process, look no further than Will. Five stars all the way!”

ACME Accounting Services
Why this rather than a general agency

Built for one industry only

We run paid search for accounting and CPA firms and nothing else, which shapes the keywords, the page structure and the way enquiries are qualified.

🎯

No explaining your service lines

You will not spend the first month teaching an account manager the difference between bookkeeping, management accounts and a statutory year end. We already know which of those searches carry buying intent and which are people looking for a template. The keyword sets start from that base rather than from a generic industry list.

📊

Niche chosen from data, not opinion

Before spend starts we cross national business registry data with Google search data to see which client types are concentrated near you and which are actually being searched for. That decides where the budget goes. Chris at Thomas Emlyn Ltd runs an outbound engine off the same registry data, producing thirty to fifty cold leads a month and five to ten booked meetings.

🔁

Enquiries screened before they hit your diary

An AI qualification layer sits on the enquiry form and filters out the enquiries you would decline anyway. Annabel uses it so her calendar only carries high value opportunities. The rest are handled by the sequence rather than by you.

Getting started

Live in four steps

The heaviest part of your involvement is the first call and one review session. Everything after that runs on our side with reporting to you.

1

Fit check and account review

You answer a short set of questions about the firm, current spend and where enquiries currently go. If there is no sensible fit we say so on the call rather than after an onboarding invoice.

2

Niche and keyword mapping

We pull registry and search data for your area and service lines, then agree which two or three campaigns to open with. You see the keyword set and the budget allocation before anything runs.

3

Pages, tracking and CRM build

We write and build the landing pages, connect conversion tracking and set up the CRM sequences. You review once. Nothing needs to change on your existing website.

4

Enquiries arrive already qualified

Campaigns go live and enquiries start landing in the CRM, screened and tagged to source. You look at a monthly report showing cost per enquiry and cost per booked call, and decide where to push the budget next.

“We've been genuinely impressed with Fiscal Flow. As an accountancy practice, we wanted a partner who understood our sector, and they've delivered on that from day one. What stands out most is how responsive and proactive the team is. Queries are dealt with quickly, and they regularly come to us with suggestions and improvements before we've even thought to ask. That kind of forward-thinking support is rare and makes a real difference to a busy practice. The service itself has been excellent throughout, and we're very happy with the results. Highly recommended to any accounting firm looking for a marketing partner who actually delivers.”

An honest filter

Not worth it if

Paid search suits some firms and wastes money for others. These are the cases where we would tell you to wait.

  • You have no capacity to take on new clients for the next two quarters
  • Nobody in the practice can respond to an enquiry within a working day
  • You want the ad spend itself capped below the point where the data becomes readable
  • You expect signed clients inside the first three weeks of a new account

If capacity or response time is the constraint, fix that first and the same budget will go further later. Our onboarding automation work often solves it, and the fit check will tell you which order to do things in.

Questions

The things firms ask first

Are Google Ads worth it for accountants when clicks are expensive?+

Clicks on accountancy terms cost more than most sectors because the client lifetime value is high and competition is steady. The figure that matters is cost per signed client against annual fee value, which is why we track enquiries to source rather than reporting on clicks. If the maths does not work for your service mix and area, the data shows it within a quarter and you stop.

What happens on the call after I complete the fit check?+

You speak to Will Pettifor, who runs the systems, rather than a salesperson. We go through your current account or lack of one, what the search data looks like for your area, and whether paid search is the right first move. If it is not, you get told that, and you keep the analysis either way.

Do you work with firms our size, or firms already running ads?+

We work with accounting and CPA firms of roughly two to twenty staff. Around half come with an existing Google Ads account that was set up once and left alone. We audit what is there before rebuilding, because the historical conversion data is usually worth keeping even when the structure is not.

Am I locked in, and what happens if I stop?+

Management is fixed monthly with no long-term contract. The Google Ads account, the landing pages and the tracking setup are yours, so if you leave you take the working assets with you rather than starting again. Ad spend is paid directly by you to Google, never through us.

Who owns the ad account and the data?+

You do. We work inside your Google Ads account under manager access, so you can see every keyword, every cost and every conversion at any point. Access is removed on request and nothing is held hostage.

How does this fit with SEO rather than competing with it?+

The landing pages built for paid search are structured so they can rank organically over time, which means the spend is buying immediate enquiries and long-term search assets at once. Prads at Wings Online Filings went from five to seven enquiries a month to fifteen to sixteen, and nine new clients, in the first two and a half months using the SEO architecture side of the same system. Most firms run paid first for speed, then shift weight to organic as it matures.
